The dinghy on EMMELINE’s aft cabin top is a 10’ classic lapstrake yacht tender built in 2002 by EMMELINE’s current owner.  The design is detailed in John Gardner’s book, “Classic Small Craft You Can Build.”  There were three of these being built during the owner’s time at the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding, and he was taken by its lines and fine construction details and decided to build one. It turned out to be a perfect fit for EMMELINE.
